Shaman formed his first ragga-rap crew in 1993 at the government high school Mbouda (LYMBO), West Cameroon at the age of 14: the Drug'n Masters. Referring to his skillfull interpretations of Songs from Shabba Ranks, Shaggy and Shaka Demus, his friends began to call him the Sha'man.
Shaman first became noticed after winning a talent contest in sommer 1994 at Cinema le Bonapriso in Douala, As a true innovator, he later establish his base in B'sadi in the years 2000, working as MC with a local radio sweet fm, exploring and mastering various musical rythms in his own inimitable style.
Shaman's connection with traditional drums and reggae had always been apparent, incorporating it into any song collaboration he has worked on since he moved to Germany 2004. After playing and promoting Reggae, dancehall and Black music culture at the radio with his concept "Big Up" for over 3 years, with a label based in Amsterdam, he started recording over Jamaican riddims and since 2011, he’s been doing and producing what he loves: music. "Lyrical Shaman" aka DJ Shaman has taken since then the musical genre of dancehall in Black urban mixing to new levels, currently playing at many Reggae/Dancehalls venues and Festivals across Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium, always dedicated to exclusiv entertainment.
